Mi Shang Prada Rong Zhai celebrated one year of activity last evening marking an important moment for Prada’s first stand-alone fine dining space in Asia. Originating from the collaboration between Prada and acclaimed director Wong Kar Wai, the project embodies a unique aesthetic vision, creating a refined connection between Milan and Shanghai. Through a play of reflections and contrasts, Mi Shang Prada Rong Zhai fosters a sophisticated dialogue that intertwines history, culture, and gastronomy, expressing the “tête-bêche symbiosis” envisioned by Wong Kar Wai himself.

For the occasion, the restaurant presented an exclusive collaborative tasting menu created by resident chef Riccardo La Perna and guest chef Lorenzo Lunghi, head chef of the restaurant Torre at Fondazione Prada in Milan. Conceived as a true culinary dialogue, the four-hands experience highlighted the exchange between two distinct yet complementary approaches, where each dish reflected a continuous interplay of visions, techniques, and cultural influences.
值此志庆之际，餐厅特别呈现由驻店主厨Riccardo La Perna与客座主厨——来自米兰Prada基金会（Fondazione Prada）Torre餐厅的主厨Lorenzo Lunghi共同打造的独家品鉴菜单。这场双主厨体验旨在展开纯粹味觉对话，彰显了两种迥异却又相辅相成的烹饪理念间的交流，每一道佳肴都体现了双方在视野、技艺与文化背景上的交流。
Among over 200 guests in attendance were Prada Ambassador and actress Ma Yili, Chen Haoyu and Toey Jarinporn; Actors Xin Yunlai and Yu Chengen; Historians Zhao Heng and Wu Liyu; Food Critic and writer Li Shu; Food Critic Lu Yuenong; and architect Zhuang Ziyu.

The collaborative dinner will be open to the public, upon reservation, on May 16th starting at 6PM, allowing guests to experience the cultural connection between Milan and Shanghai presented by Mi Shang Prada Rong Zhai.
